Tesla Window Tinting in Sacramento
A Tesla carries a lot of glass for its size, and in a Sacramento July the cabin heats up fast. White and black Teslas show everything: swirl marks, water spots and the film a week of I-80 leaves behind. A ceramic coating gives the paint a hard, hydrophobic layer, so dirt releases in the wash instead of being scrubbed in, and it slows UV oxidation on a car that lives outside or on a charger in the driveway. Prep and cure both happen indoors.
Door dings from tight charging bays and busy parking lots are a common Tesla complaint. Paintless dent repair works the dent out from behind, so the panel keeps its factory paint. Some Tesla panels are aluminum, which behaves differently from steel, so send a photo first and we will tell you honestly whether it is a PDR job.

Why so many Teslas come through our bay
Sacramento has a lot of Teslas, and a good share of them end up in our bay on Fulton Ave: Model 3s from Midtown commuters, Model Ys doing the school run in Natomas and Elk Grove, and the occasional Model S or Model X. Most of them come in for the same reason. A cabin with this much glass gets hot in a valley summer, and the heat you feel through a window is infrared, which is exactly what ceramic film is built to reject.
Ceramic is the right film for an electric car for two reasons. It rejects heat rather than only darkening the glass, so the cabin starts cooler and the air conditioning, which runs off the same battery as the motors, has less work to do. And it carries no metal, so it cannot come between the car and the phone key, the GPS or the cell connection it relies on. Nano-carbon is metal-free too, and costs less, if the budget points that way.
California treats a Tesla like any other car. The front doors take clear film only, 88% on its own and 70% once the glass is counted, so we meter your glass first and give you the certificate the code asks you to carry. No. The films we install are nano-ceramic and nano-carbon, and neither carries metal, which is what causes interference with signals in cheaper metallized film. Your phone key, GPS and cell connection work the same after the install as before it.
A full tint covers every side window and the rear glass. On a Model 3 that is $299–$379 in nano-ceramic or $199–$279 in nano-carbon, the same as any sedan; a Model Y is priced with the SUVs, at $319–$399 in ceramic. The Model X is quoted separately. We confirm your exact price before any film goes on, and the quote is free.
The same as any other car. The front doors can only take clear, colorless film that passes 88% of light by itself and leaves glass and film together at 70% or above, and you carry the installer's certificate for it. The rear side windows and rear glass can be any darkness as long as the car has dual side mirrors, which every Tesla does.
If heat is the reason you are tinting, yes. Ceramic rejects up to 97% of infrared against up to 79% for our nano-carbon film, and a cooler cabin means less work for air conditioning that runs off the battery. Both block 99% of UV, both are metal-free, and both carry a lifetime warranty.
California allows a non-reflective strip across the top four inches of the windshield, or down to the AS-1 line marked on the glass. A fully tinted windshield is not street legal here, on a Tesla or anything else.
Yes. Porsche Taycans, hybrids and other electric cars come through the bay too, and the same metal-free film goes on them. Tell us the year, make and model and we will quote it the same way.
