Pro Auto Design works out of 1972 Fulton Ave, which puts the bay inside Sacramento rather than an hour outside it. From the shop it is roughly ten minutes down the Capital City Freeway to the downtown grid, about the same east along Fair Oaks Blvd into East Sacramento, and a straight run south on Fulton to Business 80 for anyone coming up from Land Park, Curtis Park or the Pocket. One bay, one address
1972 Fulton Ave, Sacramento, CA 95825. On Fulton Ave, minutes from Arden-Arcade and Cal Expo. Every install happens in our climate-controlled bay, so the drive from Sacramento is the only part you have to plan.
About ten minutes. From the Capitol grid you take the Capital City Freeway northbound and come off at Fulton, or run out J Street and Fair Oaks Blvd if traffic is against you. The address is 1972 Fulton Ave, 95825, with parking on site rather than a meter.
It changes the argument for ceramic over dyed film. A car on a Midtown block absorbs sun all day with no garage to fall back on, and dyed film only makes the cabin darker while ceramic film actually rejects the infrared. It also matters for UV, which is what cracks a dashboard and fades seats on a car that lives outside.
You bring the car to us. Tint and ceramic coating both need a climate-controlled, dust-free space to come out right, and a driveway in the middle of a Sacramento summer is the opposite of that. We are appointment-based and open Monday through Saturday 9 AM to 6 PM, Sunday 10 AM to 4 PM.
Less dark than most people want on the front doors: the code allows only clear, colorless film there, passing 88% of light by itself and 70% with the glass counted in, and you have to carry the installer's certificate for it. Rear side windows and the rear windshield can be as dark as you like as long as the car has dual side mirrors. We meter your glass first, and the window tint page goes through the rules in full.
Two to three hours for most vehicles. Leave the windows up for three to five days while the film bonds, and expect a little haze or a few water pockets in that time, which clear on their own. In cooler months a full cure can take up to 30 days.
