Across the river, driving home into the sun
West Sacramento is in a different county from the shop, but it is closer to us than Folsom or Elk Grove. Across the river, onto the Capital City Freeway and off at Fulton Ave is about fifteen minutes, which makes it one of the easiest drives on this list. It also has a very particular sun problem. A great many people here work in downtown Sacramento or further east, and the drive home back across the river in the late afternoon is westbound, straight into the low sun, every day for most of the year.
The city is two different places for a car. Southport, south along Jefferson Boulevard, is newer tract housing with open driveways and very little shade. Bryte and Broderick in the north are older streets, with work trucks and vans parked outside and a short run to the Port and the industrial areas along Industrial Boulevard and Harbor Boulevard. Both come to the same bay at 1972 Fulton Ave, where every install is done indoors by appointment.

Not necessarily, and on the front doors California will not let you go dark anyway. The heat you feel on that drive is infrared, and a nano-ceramic film rejects it without needing a dark shade. Rear side windows and back glass can go as dark as you like, provided the vehicle has dual side mirrors. We meter your glass and talk through the options before anything is cut.
Yes. A work vehicle goes through the same process as any car: the factory glass is metered, a clear film is chosen that keeps the front doors compliant, the film is machine-cut from the vehicle’s template, and a CVC 26708 certificate goes back with the keys.
No. Window tint is regulated by state law, so the same limits apply on either side of the river. We issue the compliance certificate California requires you to keep in the vehicle.
Most full-vehicle tints take two to three hours. A ceramic coating takes longer, because the paint is washed and decontaminated first and the coating cures indoors. Everything is by appointment, open Monday through Saturday 9 AM to 6 PM and Sunday 10 AM to 4 PM.
