A car or truck parked in an open Spring Lake driveway, or outside a job site through a Yolo County July, is an oven by mid-morning. Valley heat, field dust and a half-hour drive
Woodland is the Yolo County seat and a farm town at heart, and farm towns are hard on vehicles in ways the suburbs are not. The summer heat is the full Central Valley version, with long weeks above 100° and very little shade over a driveway or a work lot. The fields around town throw dust for much of the year, and harvest season puts heavy truck traffic onto County Road 102 and the roads out of town. Within the city the picture varies. About thirty minutes and twenty-five miles: south on I-5, east on I-80 and into Sacramento to Fulton Ave. That is roughly the same trip as from Davis. The shop is at 1972 Fulton Ave, open Monday to Saturday 9 AM to 6 PM and Sunday 10 AM to 4 PM, all by appointment.
A full-vehicle tint takes two to three hours, which is short enough to wait if you prefer. A ceramic coating needs the car for longer because the paint is prepped and the coating cures indoors. Most people coming from Woodland book everything into one visit and leave the car for the day.
That is where it earns its keep. Heat and UV damage come from time in the sun, and a truck parked at a job site takes all of it. Nano-ceramic film cuts the heat getting into the cab and blocks 99% of the UV that cracks dashboards and fades seats, with a lifetime warranty against bubbling, discoloration and peeling.
No. California’s tint law applies statewide. On the front side windows it allows only clear, colourless film that passes 88% of light on its own, with glass plus film at 70% VLT or above; rear windows can go darker. We meter your glass and issue the CVC 26708 certificate you are required to carry.
Yes, in the way that matters. Dust is abrasive, and wiping it off dry is what scratches paint. On a coated car it sits on a slick layer and rinses off with water, so washing takes far less effort and does far less harm. It does not stop dust landing, and it does not stop stone chips.
